Marquita Taylor, MBA is the CEO of MB Taylor Consulting, LLC providing consulting services in the field of fund raising and board development. Marquita also provides training in community development.

Marquita has more than 20 years of experience in fund development, community relations, marketing, and special events for several non-profit organizations in the community as well as experience from a managerial level for banking and finance in the corporate sector. Her unique blend of strategic business acumen skills in banking and finance as well as in healthcare, social justice, and education in nonprofit management, gives Marquita the ability to serve as a servant leader in both arenas. Marquita serves as a leadership consultant for over 10 flourishing non-profits in the city, with plans to expand to Atlanta and Texas.

Marquita serves as president of the Santa Fe Area Neighborhood Council, Appointed to the Jackson County, Missouri Memorial Wall Commission, secretary treasurer for the Community Resource Team (CRT), REACHKC and SPIRE. Marquita holds board positions for Historic Kansas City, Project Equality, and Cultural Competency Collective. Former board positions held were the City of Kansas City Missouri Neighborhood Tourism and Development Commission, NAACP of Greater Kansas City, Boys Choir and Girls’ Choir of Kansas City, vice president of membership and treasurer for the Midwest Association of Fundraising Professionals, and co-general chair of the NAACP Annual Freedom Fund luncheon for many years. Other board and commission positions held are Westport Cooperative Services, Charles Drew Sickle Cell Anemia Blood Drive, Women's Political Caucus, Foster Grandparents, Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce Diversity Committee, and Annual Dinner Committee. Marquita also is the owner of Marquita Brockman Taylor, Special Events, providing exceptional event coordination and management for several non-profits in the community.

Marquita received her bachelors’ in management from the University of Phoenix Kansas City and a Masters’ in Business Administration. In her spare time, she enjoys watching CNN and discussing world events.
